Updates on AHFMR President and CEO Search

The Alberta Heritage Foundation for Medical Research's Board of Trustees Chair Gail Surkan announced today that the search for the President and CEO for the Foundation will be extended. The members of AHFMR's Board of Trustees are seeking a leader with an international scientific reputation to guide the Foundation into a new era and the process will be in place until a suitable candidate is identified.
"The Board has completed a very constructive first round in the search process, but has not yet identified the optimal candidate for the Foundation as it moves forward," said Ms. Surkan. "The trustees look forward to the next steps in the process and are very pleased that the ongoing activities of the Foundation will continue to be ably guided by Jacques Magnan as Interim President and CEO until an appointment is announced.
Conroy Ross and Associates, an Alberta executive search firm, will continue to lead the process.
