AHFMR awards top $36.9 million
The Foundation's annual personnel awards have reached a record $36.9 million for medical and health research in the province over the next five years. Fifty-nine researchers in eleven different faculties at the University of Calgary, the University of Lethbridge, and the University of Alberta have been offered the awards in the form of salary support for three to five years, depending on the award category.

The Foundation has granted more than $575 million to medical and health research in Alberta since 1980.

$1.47 million awarded through Health Research Fund
Proposals for eighteen research projects to be conducted throughout the province have received funding from the Health Research Fund, administered by AHFMR on behalf of Alberta Health. The projects cover a range of mental health and health services issues, including depression and early-childhood development. Project funding is for two years.
