Alberta Innovates engages in a number of strategic partnerships. These partnerships range from not-for-profit organizations to large multinationals.

Strategic collaboration is our cornerstone. We recognize that by working collaboratively, we maximize the impact of research and innovation on health related social and economic wellbeing of the province.

Our role includes acting as influencer, broker, facilitator, convener, manager, and innovative leader in Alberta’s health research and innovation system. Through partnerships and collaborations we aim to attract additional investment to Alberta, enable a thriving health sector to promote economic diversification, and ultimately enhance the health and well-being of Albertans.

Here are some examples of partnerships we have been a part of:

Multinational Corporations (MNEs)

Partnering with Multinational Corporations brings a unique set of skills to any program or project. They offer expertise in the health sector as well as lessons learned from other Jurisdictions.

Small/Medium Sized Enterprises (SMEs) and Incubators

Alberta is a leader in small business creation. Using our funding programs, the health system can partner with SMEs to test and validate innovative technologies and interventions.

Not-For-Profit Organizations

Building a stronger community is important for a healthy Alberta. We partner with many different not-for-profit organizations to ensure that our communities have access to the most basic care.
