Alberta Cancer Prevention Legacy Fund (ACPLF)
We invest millions annually to provincial cancer prevention research through the Alberta Cancer Prevention Legacy Fund (ACPLF) which we manage on behalf of Alberta Health.
Cancer prevention research is making a difference in the lives of Albertans
One of the ways to lower cancer rates and improve wellbeing is to focus efforts on cancer prevention.
Through ACPLF, the Government of Alberta provides funding to Alberta Health Services (AHS) and Alberta Innovates – Health Solutions (AIHS) to make a major difference in cancer prevention, screening and research.
AIHS is working together with AHS in this approach to identify areas in cancer prevention that need more research.
By working together to make sure that research, screening and information about cancer prevention is available to Albertans, we can help lower the risk of cancer in Alberta.
