Alberta Cancer Prevention Legacy Fund (ACPLF)
We invest millions annually to provincial cancer prevention research through the Alberta Cancer Prevention Legacy Fund (ACPLF) which we manage on behalf of Alberta Health.
Cancer prevention research is making a difference in the lives of Albertans
Since 2011, through the ACPLF, Alberta Health has distributed funds to Alberta Health Services (AHS) and Alberta Innovates (formerly Alberta Innovates – Health Solutions) to work towards making a major difference in cancer prevention, screening and research.
Recently, the strategic direction of ACPLF has been under review at Alberta Health. While we continue to honour our existing commitments, Alberta Innovates (AI) has not received new ACPLF funds to offer additional cancer prevention opportunities at this time. We continue to work with the Research & Innovation branch at Alberta Health as they review the research portion of the ACPLF framework.
Funding opportunities in Cancer Prevention research at AI:
We are not able to offer cancer prevention opportunities through ACPLF while the strategic direction of ACPLF is under review at Alberta Health.
