Research and Knowledge Exchange Programs - October 2009 Competition
The AHFMR Conference Grant program is intended to benefit Alberta’s research community by providing funds to help bring distinguished researchers to Alberta. These experts will present lectures, participate in panel discussions, help plan or implement collaborative programs of research, and/or explore and evaluate recent breakthroughs in research. This process facilitates the dissemination of knowledge to the province's researchers and health professionals. The AHFMR Conference Grant is a competitive, peer-reviewed award.
The AHFMR Community Health Research Travel Grant program is intended to facilitate contact among health researchers in Alberta, as well as with national and international colleagues. Candidates from a wide variety of disciplines may apply as long as they are actively engaged in health research in a non-profit organization and the purpose of the travel is to promote community health research. The AHFMR Community Health Research Travel Grant is a competitive, peer-reviewed award.
The AHFMR Community Health Research Visiting Lecturer Award program is intended to assist Alberta's non-profit organizations that are directly involved in health research in attracting outstanding health researchers to the province. This process facilitates the recruitment of the visitor as a health researcher to Alberta and/or could relate to a pre-planned seminar series sponsored by a health research organization or Alberta Health Services. The AHFMR Community Health Research Visiting Lecturer Award is a competitive, peer-reviewed award.
AHFMR is pleased to announce the successful applications for the Conference Grant (Biomedical and Health Research), the Community Health Research Travel Grant and the Community Health Research Visiting Lecturer Award programs as listed below. Letters of Award will be sent out the week of December 7, 2009.
