Proposals for Special Initiatives

AHFMR welcomes proposals for innovative initiatives that accelerate the achievement of its overall objectives. Institutions recruiting internationally-recognized researchers to lead new initiatives should consult AHFMR, if current programs are inappropriate. AHFMR will also consider proposals for pilot projects in patient or population-based research. These projects must have the potential to develop information, and the investigators must have the expertise to attract grants from other agencies. The review process and financial support for special initiatives may be shared by AHFMR and other agencies. Applications that are normally eligible for regular operating grants from other agencies will NOT be considered under this program.
