AHFMR is pleased to provide funding to four Alberta-based CIHR Strategic Training Program Grants as part of our commitment to support excellence in the training of health researchers. It is anticipated that these training programs will provide complementary support to AHFMR's main funding mechanism, which is the provision of awards to individual researchers.
These programs, together with their principal investigators, are:
Tomorrow's Research Cardiovascular Health Professionals (TORCH) - P. Armstrong, University of Alberta and R. Sheldon, University of Calgary
Genetics, Child Development and Health - J. Cross, University of Calgary
Health Law and Policy - T. Caufield, University of Alberta (co-principal investigator with J. Downie, Dalhousie University)
Inflammation and Immunopathogenesis - P. Kubes, University of Calgary
