MBA Studentship Award
The award will enable students with a background in the medical/health/life sciences to apply their knowledge and pursue a career in management in the medical/health industry by supporting their education and hands-on training in the University of Alberta Master of Business Administration program, specializing in Technology Commercialization (Tech Comm). The Tech Comm MBA builds and delivers a tool kit that emphasizes the importance of capital, management practices, infrastructure, information and networks. The goal of the Tech Comm MBA is to position graduates for a leadership role in today's leading edge, high technology industries.
The main objectives are to:
- Encourage Albertans with a background in science to explore careers that will give them the opportunity to apply their knowledge to commercializing medical discoveries that will lead to improved health.
- Build capacity of knowledgeable, highly-skilled technology managers to meet the needs of the Alberta medical/health industry
