Building better health and wellbeing
Alberta Innovates – Health Solutions manages initiatives, investments and partnerships and has processes and expertise to help develop globally competitive health research and innovation capacity and activity in Alberta.
Key areas of focus:
AIHS offers expertise, funding, and activities in Knowledge Transfer, Communications and Education, and Research Ethics.
AIHS has systems, processes, expertise and funding to ensure supported health research and innovation activity is relevant, competitive, and of the highest quality. AIHS maintains support for legacy programs of the former AHFMR.
AIHS has performance management expertise to evaluate health research activity for impacts and delivery on mandate.
AIHS strategies and operations support the Alberta Health Research and Innovation Strategy (AHRIS).
AIHS develops and sustains partnerships within and beyond Alberta to leverage funding and impact; and, with stakeholder engagement, creates new initiatives to build upon our health research and innovation strengths.
